Each world brings in its ideas one at a time, with a one-line hint the first time something new appears.

Tailwinds that carry you, headwinds to duck under, and rain clouds that leave your paper soggy and heavy.

Lantern Night
Warm air rises above every glowing lantern (never fly into one), and festival bunting hangs from the sky.

Find the flow
One finger, and a whole hillside of momentum
Touch and hold, and the plane climbs. Let go, and it dives and picks up speed. Diving trades height for speed; climbing trades speed for height.
One-finger flying
Hold to climb, let go to dive. That is all there is to learn, and then the hills start rolling.
Warm rising air
Ride the warm air out of the valleys and pop over the ridges.
Skim the slopes
Fly just above a downhill slope for a burst of speed. Flown well, a whole level becomes one long, smooth line.
Three stamps
One for delivering the letter, one for collecting every star, one for arriving on time. Stamps from different flights stay on the envelope.
A world cut from paper
Layers of paper hills, from morning to lantern-lit night. The game respects Reduce Motion.
Flyable levels, calm sound
Every level was proven flyable before it shipped. Sound, music and haptics each have their own switch.

A whole world cut from paper, drawn in code
Every hill, cloud and paper plane in Letterwing is drawn in code, and every sound is synthesized. Nothing is borrowed from anyone else.
Private by design
Nothing leaves your phone
- No account. You never sign in or create a profile.
- No ads, analytics or tracking. The game contains no third-party SDKs.
- On-device only. Stamps, best times, your chosen paper and settings stay on your iPhone and are deleted with the app.
- Offline. The only network use is asking the App Store whether you have unlocked The Whole Sky.
For everyone
Gentle enough for all ages
There is no violence, no chat and no user-generated content. A paper plane may crumple into a ball or get caught in a tree, and nobody is harmed. Letterwing is built to be rated 4+.
Levels are short, so there is always time for one more flight.
