KK Studio is an independent app development studio based in Switzerland.

By using our Apps or visiting our Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

ID-Shield

ID-Shield is a secure identity document management app that helps you store, watermark, and redact sensitive documents. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-first storage: All identity documents, photos, and redaction data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Optional iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud Sync in settings, your documents are synced across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We never have access to your iCloud data. You can disable sync at any time
• Camera & Photo Library access: ID-Shield requests permission to access your camera (to photograph documents) and photo library (to import existing photos or save watermarked images). These permissions are used solely for document management and are never used to collect or transmit data
• Face ID / Touch ID: The app uses biometric authentication to protect access to your documents. Biometric data is handled entirely by Apple's Secure Enclave and is never accessible to the app
• No analytics or tracking: ID-Shield contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No server-side processing: All watermarking and redaction is performed on-device. Your documents are never uploaded to our servers

If you delete ID-Shield, all locally stored data is permanently removed. If iCloud Sync was enabled, you can manage your iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings.

Canvary

Canvary is a creative diary and journaling app that lets you write, draw, add photos, track your mood, and relive your memories. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-first storage: All diary entries, drawings, mood records, tags, templates, and journal data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Optional iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud Sync, your diary data is synced across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We never have access to your iCloud data. You can disable sync at any time
• Camera & Photo Library access: Canvary requests permission to access your camera (to capture photos for diary entries) and photo library (to add photos to entries). These permissions are used solely for diary content and are never used to collect or transmit data
• Location access: Canvary can optionally record your location with diary entries. Location data is stored locally on your device (or in your iCloud if sync is enabled) and is never sent to our servers or any third party
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Canvary requests microphone access to record audio journal entries and uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to transcribe them. Audio is processed locally and never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• Face ID / Touch ID: The app uses biometric authentication to protect access to your diary. Biometric data is handled entirely by Apple's Secure Enclave and is never accessible to the app
• No analytics or tracking: Canvary contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required

If you delete Canvary, all locally stored data is permanently removed. If iCloud Sync was enabled, you can manage your iCloud data through your device's iCloud settings.

Tamrap

Tamrap (ตำรับ) is a Thai and world recipe app that lets you browse authentic Thai dishes and world cuisines, save your own recipes, plan meals, generate shopping lists, and follow step-by-step Cooking Mode. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: All saved recipes, collections, meal plans, shopping lists, favorites, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Offline-first design: Seeded recipes, images, and all content are bundled within the app. No internet connection is required to browse, cook, plan, or shop
• Camera access: Tamrap requests permission to access your camera solely so you can photograph printed recipes or cookbook pages and import them into your personal kitchen. Photos are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• Photo Library access: Tamrap may request permission to access your photo library so you can attach images to recipes you create. These photos are stored locally with your recipes only
• Document scanning: Recipe scanning uses Apple's on-device VisionKit framework. Scanned documents are processed locally and never leave your device
• Recipe URL import: If you choose to import a recipe from a URL, your device fetches the page directly from the website you specify. We do not operate any intermediary server, and we do not log, store, or track which URLs you import
• No analytics or tracking: Tamrap contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All recipes and meal plans remain on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization

If you delete Tamrap, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Houseprint

Houseprint is a home inventory and memory app that lets you record short videos of your drawers, shelves, and rooms, ask in plain language where things are, and export an insurance-grade PDF inventory of your home. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: All videos, recognized items, frame references, labels, values, notes, spaces, reminders, and generated PDF inventories are stored locally on your device
• Camera access: Houseprint requests permission to access your camera solely so you can record short videos of your drawers, shelves, cupboards, rooms, and storage spaces. Videos are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Houseprint may request microphone access and uses Apple's on-device speech recognition so you can ask questions like "where's my passport?" by voice. Audio is processed locally and never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• On-device intelligence: Object recognition, scene understanding, and natural-language search are performed on-device using Apple's Vision, Speech, and Core ML frameworks. Your home's contents are never sent to a server, and no video, image, or item data leaves your device
• Local notifications: Houseprint may send local reminders for expiry and warranty dates you set (e.g., passport expiry, fire extinguisher servicing, appliance warranty end dates). These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device
• Offline-first design: Scanning, searching, and PDF export all work without a network connection
• No analytics or tracking: Houseprint contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All data remains on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization, and PDF exports you choose to share are shared directly from your device through the system share sheet

If you delete Houseprint, all locally stored data — including videos, item references, and generated PDFs — is permanently removed.

Mabebe

Mabebe is a private journal for the maternal-child health journey — trying to conceive, pregnancy, newborn, and the early years. It records health information you enter (feeds, sleep, growth, milestones, vaccines, appointments, notes, photos and videos), which is treated as special-category health data. Mabebe is built so that you, not us, hold these records:

• On-device by default: There is no account system and no Mabebe server. All profiles, logs, measurements, notes, photos and videos are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. We never see what you write down
• Optional iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud Sync, your data syncs across your devices through your own private, Apple-encrypted iCloud database. We never have access to it, and you can disable sync at any time
• Optional co-parent sharing: You can invite a co-parent to a specific profile via Apple's CloudKit Sharing (CKShare). Only the profile you share is shared; you can revoke access at any time
• Write-only Apple Health & Calendar: If you enable them, Mabebe writes to Apple Health (e.g. cycle, BBT, ovulation) and adds appointments to Apple Calendar. Mabebe never reads back from either
• Photo Library & notifications: Photos are added via Apple's photo picker (your library is not shared with us), and local notifications are used only for appointment reminders you set
• Optional anonymous crash reports: Off by default. If you turn them on in Settings, Mabebe sends anonymous crash diagnostics through Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., acting as our data processor) — only a stack trace, device model, iOS version, app version, locale, and an anonymous per-install ID. It never includes your names, notes, photos, health values, or any data tied to your iCloud account. You can turn this off at any time
• No ads, no analytics, no selling: Mabebe contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics, no trackers, and no data brokers
• Your rights: Export everything as JSON, edit any item directly, or delete all your data in one tap from Settings

A full, dedicated privacy policy for Mabebe is available at mabebe/legal/privacy. If you delete Mabebe, all locally stored data is permanently removed; iCloud data can be managed from your device's iCloud settings. Mabebe is a personal record-keeping app and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional care.

WonderSprout

WonderSprout is a discovery, learning, and creative-play app for children ages 4–8. Kids explore wonder topics, take short quizzes, play logic and brain games, sing along to songs, read or build stories, and tell tales from illustrated scenes. WonderSprout is designed as a Made for Kids app and follows a strict privacy-first approach:

• No data collection of any kind: WonderSprout does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There are no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking technologies
• No accounts & no logins: The app does not require sign-up, sign-in, email, name, age, or any identifying information from the child or the parent
• No ads & no third-party content: WonderSprout never shows advertising and never links out to external content. The app offers a single optional Pro unlock that requires the device's standard purchase authentication, so children cannot accidentally buy anything or be exposed to third-party content
• Local-only progress: Stars, badges, completed facts, finished puzzles, daily-challenge progress, saved stories, and preferences are stored only on the device using Apple's standard local storage. None of this leaves the device
• On-device speech: The app uses Apple's on-device text-to-speech to read facts, story pages, and prompts aloud. Audio is generated locally and is never transmitted off the device
• No camera, microphone, location, or contacts access: WonderSprout does not request access to the camera, microphone, photo library, location, contacts, or any other device sensors
• No network requests: WonderSprout works fully offline. The app does not contact any server during use
• Parental gate: A simple math problem gates access to the Grown-Ups area where settings live, helping ensure that only an adult can change app preferences
• COPPA & Apple Kids guidelines: The app is designed to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Apple's App Store Review Guidelines for the Kids category

If you delete WonderSprout, all locally stored progress and preferences are permanently removed.

Threadmap

Threadmap is a mind mapping app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You build maps on an infinite canvas, sync them across your Apple devices, optionally share them with collaborators, and optionally use an AI assistant to help with brainstorming. Threadmap is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• iCloud-only storage: Your mind maps, nodes, connections, and theme preferences are stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple’s NSPersistentCloudKitContainer. Data lives in your private CloudKit database; we never see it. Apple manages encryption in transit and at rest
• No analytics or tracking: Threadmap contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, ad networks, or tracking technologies. No usage data is collected by KK Studio
• No accounts: Sign-in uses your existing Apple ID through iCloud. We do not run a separate user account system, and we do not collect your name, email, or other identifying information
• Optional collaboration: If you choose to share a map, Apple’s CloudKit Sharing creates a secure share link. Collaborators access the shared map through their own iCloud account; their identity is visible to you (name and avatar) but is supplied by Apple, not stored by us
• Optional Contacts access: When you invite a collaborator by name, Threadmap reads from your device’s Contacts only to populate the invitation suggestions. Contacts are processed in-process and are never uploaded to KK Studio servers
• Optional Microphone access: If you attach a voice note to a node, Threadmap records audio locally. The recording is stored alongside the node in your iCloud private (or shared) database. Audio is never sent to KK Studio servers
• Optional Photo Library access: If you attach an image to a node, Threadmap reads the selected photo and stores it as a node attachment in iCloud. We do not request blanket photo library access; you choose which images to attach
• AI Assistant (Pro, optional): Threadmap offers an optional AI assistant that can suggest new branches, summarize sub-trees, and expand nodes. You choose the provider:
  • On-device model: Text is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it
  • Bring-your-own-key (OpenAI, Anthropic): If you provide your own API key, prompts are sent directly from your device to the provider you selected, governed by their privacy policy. KK Studio does not relay, log, or proxy these requests — your API key and prompts never touch our servers
• Subscriptions: Threadmap Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store. Apple processes payment; KK Studio does not see your payment information. Subscription status is verified locally using StoreKit
• No location, no camera: Threadmap does not request access to your location or camera

If you delete Threadmap from a device, the local cache is removed. To permanently delete your maps, also delete Threadmap data from iCloud in Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Account Storage on iOS, or System Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage on macOS.

Sawasdee

Sawasdee is a Thai language learning app for iOS and Android that teaches through a journey of 50 units and 200 lessons, reading and listening practice, guided stroke-order writing, spaced-repetition review, illustrated scenes, role-play conversations, speaking practice, and a chat tutor called Kru Noi. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: All learning progress, unit and level stamps, streaks, review schedules, flashcards, chat conversations, and preferences are stored locally on your device — on iOS using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults), on Android using Jetpack DataStore
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Sawasdee requests microphone access — and, on iOS, speech-recognition access — only when you choose to speak: in speaking practice, in a voice entry, or when you talk to the chat tutor instead of typing. The recording is never saved to a file: it is turned into text, and that text is used only to check what you said. On iOS the transcription uses Apple's Speech framework, which recognises Thai on your device where your device supports it and otherwise sends the audio to Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. On Android the audio is passed to the speech-recognition service built into your device (on most phones this is Google's), which may process it on that provider's servers, under that provider's privacy policy. Neither the audio nor the transcript is ever received or stored by KK Studio. If you decline the permission, every other part of the app continues to work
• Chat tutor (Kru Noi): The conversation runs entirely on your device. Kru Noi's replies come from Thai content bundled inside the app, so what you write is never sent to us, to a language-model service, or to any third party. Conversations are saved locally so you can read them again, and you can delete them in the app at any time
• Offline-first design: All lessons, vocabulary, illustrations, and the Thai audio are bundled within the app. No internet connection is required to learn — only the optional speech check may need one, on devices that cannot recognise Thai speech locally
• Home Screen widgets (iOS): The word of the day, your next step, and your rhythm are written to a private App Group container that is shared only between Sawasdee and its own widgets on your device. Nothing in it leaves the device
• Notifications: If you allow them, study reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device
• Purchases: Premium is sold through Apple's StoreKit and Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information from the transaction
• No analytics or tracking: Sawasdee contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All data remains on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization
• No camera, photos, location, or contacts access: Sawasdee does not request access to your camera, photo library, location, contacts, or any other sensitive device feature

If you delete Sawasdee, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Willkommen

Willkommen is a German language learning app that helps you learn German through interactive lessons, vocabulary training, grammar exercises, and pronunciation practice. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: All learning progress, vocabulary data, streaks, achievements, and daily activity statistics are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Willkommen requests permission to access your microphone and Apple's on-device speech recognition to evaluate your German pronunciation. Audio is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• Offline-first design: All lesson content, vocabulary, grammar, and audio files are bundled within the app. No internet connection is required to use the app
• No analytics or tracking: Willkommen contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All data remains on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization

If you delete Willkommen, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Grüezi

Grüezi is a Swiss German (Schwizerdtütsch) language learning app that helps you learn Swiss German through structured lessons, vocabulary training, real-world dialogues, flashcards with spaced repetition, a writing journal, and pronunciation practice. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: All learning progress, vocabulary data, streaks, achievements, flashcard review schedules, and journal entries are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Offline-first design: All lesson content, vocabulary, dialogues, and audio pronunciation files are bundled within the app. No internet connection is required for lessons, dialogues, flashcards, or listening to the Mundart audio — only the optional pronunciation check may need one, on devices that cannot recognise Swiss German speech locally
• No analytics or tracking: Grüezi contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All data remains on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Grüezi requests microphone access — and, on iOS, speech-recognition access — only when you tap to record yourself in pronunciation practice, so it can show you what it heard and compare it with the Mundart audio. The recording is never saved to a file: it is turned into text and that text is held in memory for that attempt only. On iOS the transcription uses Apple's Speech framework, which recognises speech on your device where your device supports Swiss German (de-CH) locally and otherwise sends the audio to Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. On Android the audio is passed to the speech-recognition service built into your device (on most phones this is Google's), which may likewise recognise it on the device or on that provider's servers, under that provider's privacy policy. In both cases the audio and the transcript are processed only to score that one attempt, and neither is ever received or stored by KK Studio. If you decline the permission, every other part of the app continues to work
• No camera, photos, location, or contacts access: Grüezi does not request access to your camera, photo library, location, contacts, or any other sensitive device feature

If you delete Grüezi, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Allegra

Allegra is a Romansh (Sursilvan) language learning app that teaches through structured lessons, vocabulary with written pronunciation, spaced-repetition flashcards, real-world dialogues, and a searchable in-app dictionary (the Pledari). All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: All learning progress, completed lessons, flashcard review schedules, recent dictionary lookups, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults)
• Offline-first design: The entire course — lessons, vocabulary, dialogues and the dictionary — is bundled within the app. No internet connection is required to use it
• No analytics or tracking: Allegra contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All data remains on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization
• No microphone, camera, or location access: Allegra does not request access to your microphone, camera, location, or any other sensitive device feature, and it contains no audio recording or speech recognition
• No notifications: Allegra does not send push or local notifications
• Links that leave the app: When a dictionary search finds no result, the app offers a link to pledarigrond.ch, the Lia Rumantscha's online dictionary. Other rows link to the App Store, kk-studio.ch, or open a pre-addressed email draft in your mail app. These open in your browser or mail app and are governed by the privacy policy of the service you visit; we do not send them any information about you
• In-app purchases: Where Allegra offers an optional premium unlock, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Only the resulting unlock status is stored on your device

If you delete Allegra, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Bürgertest

Bürgertest is a study aid for the Swiss naturalisation test (staatsbürgerlicher Test) and the naturalisation interview (Einbürgerungsgespräch). It asks which canton you are applying in, then shows the rules, lessons, mock exams and interview questions that apply there. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: Your canton, the name of your municipality, your exam date, lesson and question progress, mock-exam results, and the answers you write for the interview are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults)
• Offline-first design: All questions, lessons, cantonal fact sheets and interview prompts are bundled within the app. No internet connection is required to use it, and the app makes no network requests of its own
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Bürgertest requests microphone and speech-recognition access only when you choose to rehearse an interview answer out loud, so it can show you a transcript of what you said. Because these answers concern your family, employer and municipality, the app asks Apple's Speech framework for on-device recognition and uses it whenever your device supports it; on a device that does not support on-device recognition for your exam language, Apple processes the audio on its servers under Apple's privacy policy. Recordings are not saved — only the transcript is held in memory for the session, and it is never sent to us or to any third party. If you decline the permission, every other part of the app continues to work
• Your own interview answers: Some interview questions can only be answered locally (who sits on your municipal council, which municipalities border yours). Anything you write is kept on your device, is never uploaded, and can be deleted individually or all at once from the Profile screen
• No analytics or tracking: Bürgertest contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All data remains on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization
• No camera, photos, location, or contacts access: The app requests none of these
• No notifications: Bürgertest does not send push or local notifications
• Links that leave the app: Each cantonal fact sheet links to that canton's own official page, and the Profile screen links to the App Store, kk-studio.ch, or opens a pre-addressed email draft in your mail app. These open in your browser or mail app and are governed by the privacy policy of the service you visit; we do not send them any information about you
• In-app purchases: The full version is offered as a weekly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a single lifetime purchase. All of these are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Only the resulting unlock status is stored on your device

If you delete Bürgertest, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Staatsbürgertest Österreich

Staatsbürgertest Österreich is a study aid for the Austrian citizenship exam (Staatsbürgerschaftsprüfung). It asks which Bundesland you are applying in, then shows the lessons, questions and mock exams for the three examination areas that apply there. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: Your Bundesland, your municipality, your exam date, lesson and question progress, and your mock-exam results are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults)
• Offline-first design: All questions, lessons and Bundesland fact sheets are bundled within the app. No internet connection is required to use it, and the app makes no network requests of its own
• No analytics or tracking: Staatsbürgertest contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. Its App Store privacy declaration (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) reports no data collection and no tracking
• No accounts: No login, registration, or user profiles are required
• No cloud sync: All data remains on your device only. There is no iCloud or server-side synchronization
• No microphone, camera, photos, location, or contacts access: The app requests none of these, and it contains no audio recording or speech recognition
• No notifications: Staatsbürgertest does not send push or local notifications
• Links that leave the app: Each Bundesland fact sheet links to that Land's own official page, and the Profile screen links to the App Store, kk-studio.ch, or opens a pre-addressed email draft in your mail app. These open in your browser or mail app and are governed by the privacy policy of the service you visit; we do not send them any information about you
• In-app purchases: The full version is offered as a weekly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a single lifetime purchase. All of these are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Only the resulting unlock status is stored on your device

Hola Paco

Hola Paco is a Spanish language learning app that teaches everyday Spanish through 100 real-life situations, clear-audio phrases, speaking practice, and smart spaced-repetition reviews, guided by Paco the parrot. All data handling is designed with a privacy-first approach:

• Local-only storage: All learning progress, streaks, XP, daily goals, review schedules, and unlock status are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (SwiftData / UserDefaults)
• Microphone & Speech Recognition: Hola Paco requests permission to access your microphone and Apple's speech recognition only during "tap to speak" exercises, to score your pronunciation. • No data collection of any kind: PianoPaws does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There are no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking technologies
• No accounts & no logins: The app does not require sign-up, sign-in, email, name, age, or any identifying information from the child or the parent
• No ads & no third-party content: PianoPaws never shows advertising and never links out to external content. The app offers a single optional premium unlock that requires the device's standard purchase authentication plus a parent gate (math problem), so children cannot accidentally buy anything
• Local-only progress: Stars, achievements, song completion, daily streaks, saved compositions, and preferences are stored only on the device using Apple's standard local storage. None of this leaves the device
• On-device audio synthesis: All instrument sounds (piano, xylophone, bells, marimba) are generated on-device using AVAudioEngine with synthesized tones. No audio assets are downloaded and no audio data leaves your device

Aplomby

Aplomby is a speaking-practice app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It gives you a stage, a topic and a clock, records you, and scores your delivery. Because it records you, it is the app in this policy that handles the most sensitive material — so the design goal was not to promise restraint but to leave nowhere for the material to go:

• No network requests at all: Aplomby contains no networking code. There is no account system, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs of any kind. Nothing about your practice can be uploaded because there is nothing to upload it to
• Recordings stay in the app: Audio and video of your practice sessions are written to the app’s own container on your device. They are never uploaded and never shared. Settings shows how much space they take and lets you delete all of them at once
• Transcription is on-device or it does not happen: Aplomby uses Apple’s Speech framework with on-device recognition required. Where a device cannot recognise speech locally, the app refuses to transcribe rather than let the framework send your audio to Apple’s servers, and measures your timing from the audio waveform instead. The session is still scored; the pace and filler-word figures are shown as unavailable
• Microphone, speech recognition and camera: The microphone and speech recognition are requested at your first practice, and the camera only if you choose to record video. Each is explained before it is asked for. Declining the camera leaves an audio-only practice that scores normally
• Local-only storage: Your session history (scores, pace, filler counts, pauses, airtime and transcripts), lesson and quiz completion, scenario best runs, streak, badges and settings are stored on your device using Apple’s standard on-device storage and SwiftData
• Local notifications only: The optional daily reminder is scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. You can set it during onboarding or in Settings, and turn it off at any time
• Your history, exportable: You can export your full session history to CSV at any time, and reset your progress counters from Settings
• No accounts: No login, registration or user profile is required, on any of the three platforms
• In-app purchases: Aplomby Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a single lifetime purchase, all handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Only the resulting unlock status is stored on your device

Our Apps are built with privacy at their core. They do not:

• Collect device identifiers (IDFA, advertising ID)

• Learning progress: Completed lessons, scores, XP, level, and accuracy data per lesson
• Streak data: Current streak, longest streak, streak freezes, and activity dates
• Vocabulary progress: Spaced repetition data including review intervals, mastery levels, and next review dates
• Daily activity: Minutes practiced, XP earned, lessons and exercises completed, and skill-specific progress (reading, listening, writing, speaking)
• Achievements: Unlocked badges and their timestamps
• Preferences: Language selection, daily goal, sound/haptic settings
• Display name: Optionally entered during onboarding to personalize the experience (stored locally only)

Grüezi:

• Learning progress: Completed lessons, scores, XP, current level, and per-lesson completion data
• Streak data: Current streak, longest streak, and activity dates
• Flashcard progress: Spaced repetition data including ease factor, review intervals, repetition count, accuracy stats, and next review dates
• Journal entries: Writing prompts and your written responses (stored locally only)
• Achievements: Unlocked badges and their timestamps
• Preferences: Selected dialect, learning level, daily goal, and appearance settings

• Content blocks: Text, checklist, and code blocks attached to nodes; image and audio attachments are stored as binary data inside the iCloud record
• Voice notes: If you record a voice note, the audio file is stored alongside the node in iCloud and is never transmitted to KK Studio

Aplomby:

• Practice recordings: The audio, and video where you chose it, of each session you record — held in the app’s container with a size readout and a bulk delete in Settings
• Session history: Score, date, duration, topic, pace, filler-word count, longest pause, airtime and the transcript of each practice
• Study progress: Lessons read, quiz results, scenario runs and best scores, drill outcomes, your streak and any badges earned
• Preferences: Stage defaults (speaking time, countdown length, curveballs, twists), haptics, appearance and your daily reminder time
• Unlock status: Whether Aplomby Pro has been unlocked

Data is stored using the standard platform storage system (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences/DataStore on Android) and remains entirely on your device. If you delete an App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Some of our Apps offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. All transactions are processed entirely by the respective platform — Apple through the App Store (iOS) or Google through Google Play (Android). We do not collect, process, or store any payment information, credit card details, or billing data. All transactions are handled by the platform in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy or Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Push Notifications

Sawasdee, Canvary, Calmara, Vaultly and Aplomby may request permission to send local notifications (daily study reminders, daily journaling reminders, wellness reminders, budget alerts / bill reminders / weekly summaries, and a daily practice reminder, respectively). These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings. Willkommen, Grüezi, Allegra, Bürgertest, Staatsbürgertest, Hola Paco, Chokdee, Ciao Gigi, Annyeong, Konnichiwa, Salut Coco, Hallo, Tamrap, Baby Chicken, Little ABC, Kinder Apfel, PianoPaws, Piccolo Gelato, Pequeño Churro, Pequeña Piñata, Pequeno Galo, Pequeno Tucano, Petit Macaron, Chibi Sakura, Chibi Purin, Kkoma Bungeoppang, Xiao Panda, Xiao Baozi, Xiao Boba, Lilla Älgen, Pikku Pöllö, Lille Rev, Lille And, Kleine Tulp, Мишутка, Соняшко, Bé Sen, Si Dodo, Pamuk, Tarsi, Bocian, गोलू, جَمّول, שפנפן, Bodlinka, Κουκου, Bogyó, मोरू, پیشی, Martinel, میٹھو, বাঘু, Manja, Pjego, Вуко, Любо, Shqipo, Zlatko, Maco, Pčelko, Jarko, Риско, Hudhud, Барыс, Ceyran, Romduol, Padauk, Ruquet, Pääsu, Mārīte, Gilutė, Lundi, Iora, Draig, Meerkie, ყურძენი, Ծիրանիկ do not use notifications.

6. Bug Reports (Voluntary)

Some of our Apps include an optional bug reporting feature that opens your email client. If you choose to send a bug report, it may include:

• Your device model and OS version
• The App version and build number
• A description of the issue you write
• An optional screenshot you attach

This information is sent only when you voluntarily choose to compose and send the email. We use this information solely to diagnose and fix issues. Bug report emails are sent to welcome@kk-studio.ch.

7. Third-Party Services

Our Apps use no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or tracking services. iOS apps are built with Apple's native frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, StoreKit, AVFoundation, AudioToolbox, Speech, VisionKit). Android apps are built with Jetpack Compose and Google Play Billing Library. The only external connections are to Apple's or Google's servers for processing store transactions and, if enabled on iOS, iCloud sync via CloudKit. Canvary and Willkommen use Apple's on-device Speech framework for audio transcription and pronunciation evaluation respectively — audio is processed locally and never leaves your device. Sawasdee uses the same speech recognition on both platforms to check spoken Thai — Apple's Speech framework on iOS and the device's own recognition service on Android — and its Kru Noi chat tutor answers from content bundled in the app, with no language-model service involved. Grüezi uses the same Speech framework on iOS to check your Swiss German pronunciation, recognising speech on your device where it can and falling back to Apple's server-side recognition on devices that cannot do it locally. On Android, Grüezi uses the system speech-recognition service your device provides (on most phones Google's), which may process the audio on that provider's servers. In both cases the audio is never saved and never reaches KK Studio. Bürgertest uses the same Speech framework to transcribe rehearsed interview answers, requesting on-device recognition and falling back to Apple's server-side recognition only on devices that cannot perform it locally. Aplomby uses the Speech framework with on-device recognition required, and refuses to transcribe at all on a device that cannot do it locally, so its audio never reaches Apple's servers. Tamrap uses Apple's on-device VisionKit framework for scanning printed recipes — scanned images are processed locally and never leave your device.

8. Website

Our website at kk-studio.ch is a static website that does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts. We use Google Fonts to display typography, which may involve your browser making a request to Google's servers to load font files. No personal data is collected through our website.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Apps do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since our Apps do not collect any personal information from any user, they are safe for use by people of all ages. Baby Chicken is designed for children ages 3–8, Little ABC is designed for toddlers and preschoolers, and Kinder Apfel is designed for children ages 3 and up — none of them collect any data whatsoever. The Piccolo Gelato (Italian), Pequeño Churro (Spanish), Pequeña Piñata (Latin American Spanish), Pequeno Galo (Portuguese), Pequeno Tucano (Brazilian Portuguese), and Petit Macaron (French) alphabet apps are likewise designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The Chibi Sakura (Japanese hiragana), Chibi Purin (Japanese katakana), Kkoma Bungeoppang (Korean), Xiao Panda (Simplified Chinese), Xiao Baozi (Simplified Chinese), and Xiao Boba (Traditional Chinese) alphabet apps are also designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The Lilla Älgen (Swedish), Pikku Pöllö (Finnish), Lille Rev (Norwegian), Lille And (Danish), Kleine Tulp (Dutch), Мишутка (Russian), and Соняшко (Ukrainian) alphabet apps are equally designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. Bé Sen (Vietnamese) is likewise designed for children ages 3–8 and collects no data whatsoever. The Si Dodo (Indonesian), Pamuk (Turkish), Tarsi (Filipino), and Bocian (Polish) alphabet apps are also designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The गोलू (Golu, Hindi), جَمّول (Jammoul, Arabic), and שפנפן (Shfanfan, Hebrew) alphabet apps are likewise designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The Bodlinka (Czech), Κουκου (Greek), Bogyó (Hungarian), मोरू (Marathi), پیشی (Persian), Martinel (Romanian), and میٹھو (Urdu) alphabet apps are also designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The বাঘু (Baghu, Bengali) and Manja (Malay) alphabet apps are likewise designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The Pjego (Croatian), Вуко (Serbian), Любо (Bulgarian), Shqipo (Albanian), Zlatko (Slovenian), Maco (Slovak), Pčelko (Bosnian), Jarko (Montenegrin), Риско (Macedonian), Hudhud (Uzbek), Барыс (Kazakh), and Ceyran (Azerbaijani) alphabet apps are also designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The Romduol (Khmer) and Padauk (Burmese) alphabet apps are likewise designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. The Ruquet (Catalan), Iora (Irish), Draig (Welsh), Pääsu (Estonian), Mārīte (Latvian), Gilutė (Lithuanian), Lundi (Icelandic), Meerkie (Afrikaans), ყურძენი (Kurdzeni, Georgian), and Ծիրանիկ (Tsiranik, Armenian) alphabet apps are also designed for children ages 3–8 and collect no data whatsoever. Willkommen, Grüezi, Allegra, Hola Paco, Chokdee, Ciao Gigi, Annyeong, Konnichiwa, Salut Coco, Hallo are designed for learners of all ages and store progress data locally only. PianoPaws is designed for children ages 2–8 and collects no data whatsoever. ID-Shield is intended for adults managing identity documents. Bürgertest is intended for adults preparing for a Swiss naturalisation procedure and stores its data locally only. Staatsbürgertest Österreich is likewise intended for adults preparing for an Austrian naturalisation procedure and stores its data locally only.

10. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we do not operate servers that store user data, the security of your information is managed by your device's built-in security features (device passcode, biometric authentication, and platform encryption). ID-Shield additionally requires biometric authentication each time you open the app, adding an extra layer of protection for your sensitive documents.

11. Your Rights

Under applicable privacy laws, including the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access: All your data is stored locally and visible within the App
• Delete: Delete the App to permanently remove all associated data
• Portability: Since no data is stored on our servers, no data transfer is necessary
• Object: No data processing occurs on our servers to object to

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
