Everyday Languages
Here's a feeling you might know. You spend weeks tapping the right cartoon gem in a language app, your streak climbing nicely — then you land in a new city, walk up to the café counter, and… freeze. All those points, and the words won't come out.
We wanted to build the opposite of that. So we made a new little family of apps that starts from the other end: not grammar tables, but the real moments you'll actually live.
Each app teaches the language you'll genuinely say out loud — ordering a coffee, catching a taxi, making small talk, asking for the bill — across 100 real-life situations and more than 1,200 phrases, all with clear audio and word-by-word breakdowns.
It's the middle ground we always wanted for ourselves: friendlier and more playful than a heavy grammar course, but with far more depth than a pocket phrasebook.
And nobody learns alone. Each app comes with its own mascot who greets you every day with a tip, cheers you through practice, and quizzes you when you're ready:
Paco the parrot for Spanish, Gigi the cat for Italian, Bruno the bear for German, Coco the macaw for French, Mali the elephant for Thai, Horang the tiger for Korean, and Hachi the Shiba for Japanese.
You choose, build, and type your way through varied exercises, speak into the mic and get instant word-by-word feedback on your pronunciation, act out real dialogues in Play the Scene, and race the clock in Quick Match. Then smart spaced-repetition reviews bring each phrase back right before you'd forget it, so it moves into long-term memory.
No subscription. No ads. One purchase unlocks the whole course — every situation, every phrase, and all future updates — and it works fully offline, so you can practise on the plane on the way there. Like everything we make, it keeps your data on your device and asks for nothing more.
Seven languages so far, with the same warm, unhurried feel across all of them. Say hello — ¡Hola!, Ciao!, Hallo! — and see how it feels to learn the words that actually leave your mouth.
