About Us
KK Studio is a small, independent app studio based in Switzerland. There's no sprawling office, no investor deck, no growth team. Just a deep love for building things that are useful, beautiful, and respectful of the people who use them.
It began with a simple idea: build an app to help people learn Thai. That became Sawasdee — and the process of making it taught us something important. When you're small, you can afford to care about every detail. The spacing of a button. The timing of an animation. The exact shade of a color in dark mode. Nobody's rushing you to ship a half-baked feature for a quarterly metric.
That feeling stuck with us. So we kept going.
Today, KK Studio has seven apps — each one built with the same philosophy. Sawasdee teaches Thai. Baby Chicken, Little ABC, and Kinder Apfel help kids learn languages through play. ID-Shield protects your identity documents. Calmara helps you relax and focus. Vaultly keeps your finances organized.
They're all different, but they share the same DNA: privacy-first, ad-free, thoughtfully designed, and built entirely with Apple's native frameworks. No shortcuts, no bloat.
Being independent means we get to make decisions based on what's right for the people using our apps — not what's right for advertisers or shareholders. It means we can say "no" to things that don't feel right, even if they'd make more money.
No ads. No tracking. No selling your data. These aren't marketing slogans for us — they're the ground rules we started with and haven't budged on.
We're always working on something. Sometimes it's a brand new app, sometimes it's polishing an existing one until it shines a little brighter. We don't announce things until they're ready, because we'd rather surprise you with something good than promise something we haven't finished yet.
